By combining the information available in tweets, it is possible to make clear how large groups of visitors are using a city and where the emerging tourist hotspots are. This discovery was made by RSM's Tobias Brandt after analysing 600,000 tweets sent in San Francisco. His approach can be useful for cities that want to stimulate their tourism sector and for companies that want to leverage upon it.
