By combining tweets intelligently, it is possible to analyse how large groups of visitors use a city and where the emerging tourist hotspots are. This discovery was made by Tobias Brandt of RSM after analysing 600,000 tweets sent in San Francisco. His approach can be useful for cities that want to stimulate their tourism industry and for businesses that want to leverage upon it.
