The Rotterdam scientific spin-off Valory has recently presented a new algorithm that allows online retailers to predict the chance of return even before the customer orders. This could reduce the return costs for a webshop by 60 percent. "The return of a product is determined by the deviation between consumer expectations and the product received" says former RSM Professor Felix Janszen.
