The RSM Admissions Office is aware that due to COVID-19 you may not be able to take your final exams normally or obtain your high school diploma on time. We will monitor the situation in different countries and inform you of any changes in our policies so there is no need for you to contact us about this. We advise you to go ahead and accept your offer of admission and continue to prepare for the start of the academic year. If on July 1st it seems that you will not be able to provide us the required proof of completion of your secondary education by the 1^st of August, then you can let us know.

An admissions statement is an official document which summarizes which programme you've been admitted to, which diploma the admissions is based on and which conditions you need to fulfil before you can be enrolled as a student. As long as the conditions are not fulfilled, your offer remains conditional.

You can download your admissions statement via the Online Application Form (OLAF). In the top menu bar, go to the section called 'OFFER' and download the PDF file.

You will only be registered as a student after all of the conditions stated in your offer of admission have been met. This process is not started until June each year.

Zoals de zaken er nu voorstaan, zullen we het onderwijs volledig digitaal aanbieden, aangevuld met fysieke bijeenkomsten. De waarde van online leer- en werkvormen willen we optimaal benutten. Als de regelgeving het toelaat, hopen we structurele colleges op de campus (op vrijdagmiddag) te combineren met digitale onderwijsvormen. We zullen hierbij altijd de meest actuele richtlijnen in acht nemen.

All students receive a digital student card that can be downloaded via Osiris (after your enrolment is complete). Please view the instructions.

Regularly scheduled test/course

The Erasmus University Language & Training Centre (LTC) offers intake tests throughout the year, which will determine your current level of proficiency, as well as English courses from September onwards. You can always participate in a Language test at the EUR LTC on their regularly scheduled test dates at your own cost. You can check for the next possible test date on their website. Please note that the ITP TOEFL test offered by the EUR LTC is not accepted as it does not test the speaking abilities of the candidate.

RSM English test (only available to students from Dutch educational institutions; HBO/WO)

RSM together with the LTC also offers English tests free of charge with the following conditions:

Test dates and times: The tests will only be offered on two specific moments of the year:

• The first test will be given on week 49 (30 november – 4 december 2020) - registration for this test date has closed

• The second test will be given on week 15 (12 – 16 april 2021)

• You can only take the test once free of charge. It is not possible to re-schedule the test due to illness or any other reason. If you fail to achieve a C1 level result, you can retake the test at your own cost.

• On both dates the writing part of the test takes place in the morning and the verbal part in the afternoon. Therefore you need to be available throughout the day of the test.

Registering for the test: You can register for the test when applying to RSM and filling in the Online Application Form (OLAF). You must submit your application for the programme of your choice at least three weeks before the date of the test you want to participate in. The RSM Admissions Office will then evaluate your application, and if you meet the other minimum requirements, we will register you for the test with the EUR LTC. 

Results of the test:  After the test you will receive an overview of your results, but you will not receive an official language certificate. RSM will only accept your resutls if the minimum obtained overall level as well as individual components meet the C1 requirement.The test results are only valid for your application for RSM. The results of the 1st test will be availabe by mid January. The results of the 2nd test will be available in the beginning of May. Keep this in mind especially when applying for the programmes with a maximum capacity. 

Personal circumstances: Students with dyslexia or other personal circumstances can request for additional time to take the test. It’s required to notify the LTC by e-mail before the test date about any personal circumstances. In the email you should include your dyslexia statement or any other relevant statements.

The B3 courses will not keep their old form from the 2020-2021 academic year. You will be subject to the transition rules. The written tests from the old courses will be offered twice more during the 2021-2022 academic year, but the subject matter will be offered mainly as independent learning from books, articles, old lecture sheets, videos and/or webcasts. The learning matter will be different for each course. The test form of a course may also have changed. See the transition rules.

If you did not pass an old B3 course, Programme Management will register you for the course + the regular test in Osiris prior to the course. You do not have to take any action yourself.

• The new programme will be introduced in phases. The new B3 will be introduced in  academic year 2021-2022. The old B3 courses will therefore no longer be taught. If you want to retake a B3 course, you will be subject to transition rules. Tests will be offered again, the learning matter will be different for each course. For some courses you can (partly) participate in a course in the new programme, for other courses the subject matter will be offered mainly as independent learning from books, articles, old lecture sheets, videos and/or webcasts. See the transition rules.
• Please note, it is possible that a course is offered in another trimester than you are used to!

You can NOT take any courses from the new programme. These courses are NOT part of your examination programme and will not count towards your diploma. It is possible that you will follow (part of) a new course in order to pass an old B2 course. This varies per course, from attending lectures to making the assignments. This is described per course in the transition rules. Please note, even if you can follow a new course (partly) as part of the transition, the examination is based on the old course. (You need to make the exam with the old course code.)

In that case you took an exam of a course that is not part of your examination programme. Therefor the test will not count. It is possible that the test of an old B2 course will take place at the same time as the test of a comparable course of the new programme. Then always keep in mind that you have to take the test with the old course code! In case of offline exams, make sure you are in the right block! Always check the course code on your exam.

It is possible that a course in the new program corresponds (partly) with an old B2 course. In some cases, you can (partially) follow the new course to pass the old B2 course. This varies per course, from attending lectures to making assignments. This is described per course in the transition rules. To get to the relevant materials of these educational activities, you will be added to the Canvas page of the new course. The teacher will use the Canvas page and the SIN-Online channel of the old course to communicate with you (recidivist).

Whether or not partial grades are valid varies per course. See the transition rules.

If the validity of partial grades can be extended, you can indicate - per block - via SIN-Online whether you want to make use of this. If more steps need to be taken, the teacher will indicate this via the Canvas page with the old course code (the course code of last year's course within the Canvas environment of the current academic year, 2021-2022). Check carefully whether you comply with any minimum grade requirements to avoid disappointment later.

Please note, partial grades obtained in the academic year 2019-2020 or earlier are no longer valid. If there were personal circumstances in the year in which you did not complete the course with a pass grade, but did obtain partial marks, you can contact the study advisors. Only if there are valid reasons, they can submit a request to the Examination Board to allow partial grades to be valid for longer.

Voor de B3 vakken geldt voor collegejaar 2021-2022 (en verder) dat ze niet meer in de oude vorm aangeboden worden. Je zult te maken krijgen met transitieregels. De schriftelijke toetsen van het oude vak zullen nog tweemaal aangeboden worden in collegejaar 2021-2022, maar de manier waarop de stof wordt aangeboden zal (grotendeels) ten behoeve van zelfstudie zijn. Denk hierbij aan boeken, artikelen, oude collegesheets, video’s en/of webcasts. Dit zal per vak verschillen. Ook kan de toetsvorm van een vak veranderd zijn. Zie de transitieregels.

Indien je een vak nog niet hebt gehaald, zal je voorafgaand aan het vak door Programme Management worden ingeschreven voor het vak + reguliere toets in Osiris. Je hoeft hiervoor zelf geen actie te ondernemen.

Dat kan maar je zult te maken krijgen met transitieregels. Toetsen zullen opnieuw aangeboden worden maar de onderwijsactiviteiten verschilt per vak. Voor sommige vakken kun je (deels) meedoen met een vak in het nieuwe programma voor andere vakken zul je moeten leren aan de hand van zelfstudie. Zie de transitieregels. Programme Management zal jou per blok informeren via SIN-Online over de wijze waarop je je hiervoor aan kunt melden.

Let op, het kan zijn dat een vak aangeboden wordt in een ander trimester dan jij gewend bent!

Je kunt GEEN vakken volgen uit het nieuwe programma. Deze vakken zijn GEEN onderdeel van jouw examenprogramma. Het kan wel zijn dat je een (deel van een) nieuw vak kunt volgen om een oud B2 vak te halen. Dit varieert per vak, van het volgen van de colleges tot het maken van de opdrachten. Dit wordt per vak beschreven in de transitieregels. Let op! Ook al volg je (deels) het nieuwe vak, de toetsing wordt gegeven vanuit het oude vak.

In dat geval maak je een toets van een vak dat geen onderdeel is van je examenprogramma. De toets zal dan ook niet meetellen. Het kan zijn dat de toets van het oude B2 vak gelijktijdig met de toets van het nieuwe vak wordt getentamineerd. Houd er dan altijd rekening mee dat je de toets met de oude vakcode moet afleggen!

Het kan zijn dat een vak in het nieuwe programma (deels) overeenkomt met een oud B2 vak. Je kunt in sommige gevallen het nieuwe vak (deels) volgen om het oude B2 vak te halen. Dit varieert per vak, van het volgen van de colleges tot het maken van de opdrachten. Dit wordt per vak beschreven in de transitieregels.  Om bij de relevante materialen van deze onderwijsactiviteiten te komen, ben je toegevoegd aan de Canvas pagina van het nieuwe vak. De docent zal de Canvas pagina en het SIN-Online channel van het oude vak gebruiken om met jou (recidivist) te communiceren.
