Programme Management of the BSc programmes does not permit students (individuals, student associations, study associations, etc.) to make presentations at the beginning of course lectures, nor during the break.  Such presentations can be perceived as disruptive and they frequently result in a delay in the following lecture.  In previous years all lecture talks were banned with the exception of presentations given once per trimester by STAR.  The policy also applies to STAR.

Programme Management has informed STAR about this policy change, and eventual alternatives for reaching out to students, such as the ability to deliver a short presentation during the Bachelor and pre-master kick-offs, SIN-Online messages, and services offered by  RSM Today, a student run initiative that enables advertisements or announcements to appear in a slideshow during lecture breaks.

If you are approached by students/organisations who would like to make a presentation before, during, or after your lecture please inform them that Programme Management does not allow this. Any questions (or complaints) can be directed to Programme Management.

Applicants for the Bachelor programme in International Business Administration cannot defer their offer as IBA at RSM is classified as a Numerus Fixus programme. You can therefore only accept or decline the offer.

If you receive an offer of admission but want to start your studies the next entry year, you need to re-apply and participate again in the selection process. An offer cannot be guaranteed because of a new applicant pool. Also, your current enrolment application will be registered as a ‘used selection attempt’ and will count towards the maximum number of times that you can submit an enrolment application for a certain numerus fixus programme in the Netherlands.

The Dutch are known for their proficiency in the English language and this, combined with the highly international nature of both the campus and the city of Rotterdam ensure that you will manage just fine without any Dutch language skills. Of course it is often very rewarding to be able to speak the language of the country you are living in. Also, if you are looking for a job on the side, or hope to remain in the Netherlands after graduation, speaking Dutch can be a big advantage. The Language &Training Centre (LTC) offers several language courses, including Dutch.

DigiD is a collective system with which government institutions in the Netherlands can use to verify your identity online and enables you to access the electronic services of an increasing number of government institutions with a single username and password. When you are a resident of the Netherlands, you can only submit an enrolment application if you use DigiD. Make sure to apply for your DigiD on time. If you are not an official resident of the Netherlands you must create an account first.

Keep in mind that it takes approximately five days before your log-in details are sent to your home address. Make sure you have applied for your DigiD and activated it well in advance of the 15 January Studielink deadline. You will not be able to apply for admission after this date.

Unfortunately we cannot pre-screen any applicants over email or phone due to the high number of applications received each year. Your application can only be assessed after you have officially submitted an application for admission to the IBA programme. You can already check your eligibility yourself by taking a look at the admissions criteria per diploma.
