The STAR Board is responsible for heading the association on a daily basis. Together with more than 270 active members, they are responsible for organizing around 57 projects each year. Well known examples of projects are the STAR Management Week, Erasmus Consultancy Project, and the Erasmus Recruitment Days.
Besides being active in the social and professional development of its members STAR, as the faculty association of Rotterdam School of Management, is academically involved as well. In general: they are open to any idea you as a professor might have, as long as it fits within the mission of their association: 'enrich RSM student life'.STAR have been doing this via their booksale throughout the last years: where professors hand them the title of relevant literature and STAR take care of everything else.
STAR organize academically relevant activities such as the BSc- and MSc Accountancy Day, in relation to the course Financial Accounting (BSc). In the past they have also arranged speakers for guest lectures, although this has proven to be difficult in relation to more detailed topics, please don't hesitate to contact them.
In short STAR..
.. provides relevant literature/books to students
.. supports/organizes academically relevant events
.. helps finding guest lectures
.. provides feedback from students to professors (primarily for MSc courses)
.. is, most importantly, open to any ideas from teaching staff
