Programme Management will schedule a course evaluation with the course coordinator as soon as the course has completed and the results from the online evaluations are known.  The course will be evaluated during this meeting and plans and ideas for the course for the following academic year are also discussed.  The following documents serve as background material for the evaluation meeting:

  • Course evaluations administered by programme management
  • Partial and overall grades
  • Course compensation
  • General feedback from students
  • Feedback and reflections from the teaching staff
  • Feedback and reflections from programme management
  • Student Representation mid-term and final report

The Assistant Programme Manager will send the minutes from the evaluation to you within one month after the meeting takes place. After the evaluation you will have some time to consider which changes you would like to make to the course in the next academic year.  Be sure to communicate these desired changes and any accompanying scheduling requests at your earliest convenience, keeping the deadlines for the revised undergraduate catalogue text and the schedules in mind.  Any significant changes may need to be discussed with your Programme Manager and the Executive Director BSc (I)BA.

Ja.

Bedrijfskundigen bekleden vaak managementposities.

Was this answer helpful to you?

Yes No

Ja.

There are a few things that will still need to be taken care of after a course / trimester is completed.

For example:

  • Preparing and grading the re-sit examination in late June / July.
  • Preparing and grading an extra examination in the event that students are granted permission to receive an extra opportunity in the the fall (September/ October). The hardship clause in the Examination Regulations allows students to request an extra examination opportunity in the event that they for example only have one course left to pass in their bachelor. The Examination Board organises and schedules these extra examination opportunities and informs course coordinators that an extra exam must be produced and graded, and by which date.

Rotterdam School of Management offers a limited number of scholarships for excellent applicants from non-EEA countries and EEA countries. Most of the scholarships are so-called partial tuition fee waivers, meaning that we will reduce a part of your tuition fee. If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, you can find several available scholarships in our Scholarship Finder.

Preliminary grades for an assignment, mid-term, final examination, or any other work which has been graded should be submitted to programme management for publication via SIN-Online. Please refrain from posting partial grades on Blackboard.  SIN-Online publication ensures not only that privacy is respected, but that students receive their grade the moment it is published via e-mail and via SMS (if they selected that option in their SIN settings).

Preferred file type for publication

In order to publish the grades, your Programme Manager will need to receive the file in a specific format in order to ensure they can be uploaded probably in SIN-Online.  Coordinators are kindly asked to send only Microsoft Excel (.xls or .xlsx) files with two columns—the left hand column (A) should contain the student number and the second column should contain the corresponding grade, which should always be rounded to the nearest tenth and separated by a period (not a comma), for example: 4.8.

Please don’t use any files with any hidden columns or rows, and make sure the information to post is on the first worksheet.  Also, please don’t use any formulas in the version that you send programme management, only student numbers and the corresponding grades should be included in the file.

Preliminary results for non-registered students

We kindly ask that all ‘own risk’ (eigen risico / zwartrijders) students be removed from the grade file (or at least labeled in some form so that your programme manager knows to remove them before publishing the file.  By not publishing the grades of non-registered students we have a means to alert students to the fact that they must complete their registration for the examination in order to receive their grade via Osiris. The second reason is due to the ‘Last Result Counts’ rule which implies that the last result recorded in Osiris will be the grade that a student receives for a particular course.  If a student neglects to register for an examination then receives a preliminary grade that is lower than the grade recorded in Osiris then he will not take the necessary steps to have the grade recorded in Osiris.

Pass rates and other statistics

Once the preliminary grades have been published on SIN-Online an overview with the passing rate and grade statistics will be accessible to students and teaching staff members.  Programme Managers typically send a link to these statistics after posting the grades.

Partial grades from previous years

A coordinator should typically include information in the course manual text for students retaking the course which specifically mentions whether partial grades (for example assignments or mid-term examinations) from the previous year can be carried over to the current academic year.  Students are generally asked to make such requests to carry over their partial grades early in the trimester and these requests (if applicable) will need to be taken into consideration when the grades are being calculated.  In some instances students may be granted permission from the Examination Board to carry over grades (which would otherwise not be allowed).  In this case, the Examination Board will inform the course coordinator per email about such a decision.

The most obvious reason to apply for funding is to obtain money. Nevertheless, there may be other reasons to apply for funding which are not directly linked with additional financial means. Acquiring new knowledge, expanding your research network, increasing exposure and boosting your career are just some examples of the additional reasons to apply for funding. When you consider applying, it is important to look at both short term and long term effects of the funding application, as well as the material and immaterial advantages it may bring.

Age is simply a number to us. Our concern lies more in your aspirations and goals. We would ask why a full-time MBA programme now instead of a part-time Executive MBA. It's worth noting that a significant portion of our Full-Time MBA students are over 30 years old. We encourage you to contact us directly so we can discuss your specific situation in detail.

We operate on a system of admissions rounds, with specific deadline dates for applications throughout the year. Following each round, interviews are conducted. This year, our admissions rounds fall in February, April, June, August, October, and November. If you apply by the deadline of a given round, your application will be assessed, and if selected for an interview, it will typically take place within two weeks after the round's closing date.

Typically, applicants should apply for the intake they plan to enroll in. However, in exceptional circumstances, the Admissions Committee may consider deferral requests. All deferral requests must be submitted in writing and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. If approved, you will need to pay the €5,000 admissions fee and complete a deferral form. Please note that deferrals are only granted once. Additionally, if you have been awarded a scholarship, it will not carry over to the following year, and you will not be eligible for future RSM scholarships.

Your eligibility depends on whether your previous university was accredited by the same organisations as RSM: EQUIS, AMBA, and AACSB. If your prior institution holds accreditation from at least one of these bodies, it's unlikely that you would be eligible to apply. For clarification, please reach out to us directly.

The curriculum allows executive participants to benefit from the diverse experiences of their classmates as well as their faculty. OneMBA classes are scheduled every alternate six/seven weeks, so executives from a wide geographic area can participate, whilst at the same time minimising the time spent away from the office.
