“It was special and valuable to be able to address my own wicked problem in this unique programme. I could address and debate my own wicked problem about creating more added values for Oman’s economic and free zones. In Oman, we’re dealing with the issue of level playing fields when it comes to trade-policy terms among economic zones and free zones, and how can this strengthen the efficiency and added value for these zones to ultimately help in achieve the national strategic goals for creating the economic zones and free zones in Oman. I think by having the newly formed regulator for Economic zones and free zones in Oman, the current challenges will be addressed and resolved, and I am looking forward to work with the new authority to unlock the full potential of SOHAR free zone.
This programme by RSM, UTP and Port of Rotterdam gave me not only the chance to learn and discuss future challenges of ports, but also the leadership traits required to deal with such issues. I gained a deep insight about leadership challenges in a rapidly changing business environment.

This opened more discussion and debate channels that enriched sharing knowledge and experience.
I was particularly inspired by the presentation given by experts from Port of Rotterdam about areas such as digital transformation and energy transition. Every senior manager in port and free zone business can benefit from this programme. It’s so valuable and I enjoyed every day.”
