Reinier Blokhuizen

Senior consultant with Nederhof & Partners

“Becoming a partner in my company is partly thanks to programme. My background is accounting, and I realised I lacked an understanding of business valuation. I learnt about calculating the cost of capital and I was able to use it right away. The combination of practice and knowledge makes the learning stick –talking about these topics with other participants also gave me new information – and I now feel confident that I can give a proper valuation in my own work.”

RSM Business Valuation Alumnus

Jelmer Algra

CEO of Rabobank Leeuwarden Noordwest Friesland

“This valuable programme was an excellent mix of theory and practical use of the materials. As CEO of a local bank, I became responsible for the integral management of the bank, specifically for the SME and corporate advice portfolios. These teams deal with financial and strategic issues including acquisition, mergers, sales and buy ins. RSM’s excellent programme are intense weeks with plenty of deep dives and with a great diverse group. I learned not only a theoretical foundation, but also practical tools and models and a great network of peers to work with.”

Rainier van Vlokhoven

Managing director at Lyanthe (robotic accounting)

“I had basic knowledge of finance from when I was a strategy and management consultant at a bank. I’m now involved in my organisation’s corporate finance cases. RSM’s valuation programme taught me how to valuate companies – big and small. I learned the variables that have the most impact on the value, and how you can valuate a fast-growing (tech) company. Professor Marc Goedhart shared in-depth-knowledge of finance, and I also enjoyed learning from a group of true professionals who work mostly within the SME segment.”
