Job description
The Key Account Manager is responsible for selling, managing, and strengthening long-term relationships with corporate clients. You will work closely with programme managers, sales colleagues, the Corporate & Alumni Relations (CAR) department and marketing teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality programmes and learning solutions to corporate clients.
As the primary point of contact for both existing and new key clients, you will anticipate their executive education needs, offer expert advice, and manage communication between the clients and internal teams to ensure their requirements are met. You will also identify opportunities to bring in new business from existing clients, developing strong and trusting relationships with major accounts.
The Key Account Manager will:
- Maintain and cultivate ongoing, active engagement with both existing and new corporate clients.
- Proactively identify and develop sales opportunities with prospects.
- Develop a thorough understanding of key accounts' current and evolving learning needs.
- Negotiate contracts and SLAs with existing clients, ensuring timelines for deliverables are met.
- Actively participate in client-related events to strengthen relationships and identify additional sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Client Engagement, Sales teams to maximise profitability through up-selling and cross-selling.
- Participate in sales pitches for new clients when required.
- Contribute to the development of client knowledge systems.
Job requirements
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Advanced university degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales management, key account management, or a similar relevant role.
- Proven track record in selling post-experience educational solutions
- Fluency in Dutch and English.
- Proven track record in delivering client learning solutions and meeting sales targets.
- Strong ability to build and maintain long-term relationships based on trust.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to network, build relationships, present, and influence others.
- Experience in, or a strong affinity with, leadership/management development and post-academic learning.
