Think beyond the binary and help improve the visibility of the Queer community during the 2025 Edit-a-thon!
Wikipedia may well be the first place most of us look when looking for information.
This open-source page is written by people from all over the world and is a resource for AI like ChatGPT. But what if the information on it is biased? Did you know that only than 5% of Wikipedia entries contain non-binary identifications?
Be part of making Wikipedia more inclusive
It's time to change that - and you can be a part of it!
The annual Edit-a-thon is taking place on Monday 27 January 2025, from 16h00 to 19h00. Students, creatives and anyone working in organisations who wants to contribute are welcome to join. It is preferable for participants to bring their own laptop to work on entries during the workshop.
This annual Edit-a-thon on making Wikipedia more inclusive, is organised by Studium Generale, ECWO (Erasmus Centre for Women and Organisations), dr. Laura Braden (Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication), Wikimedia Netherlands and Kunstinsituut Melly.
Entrance is free but reservations are highly recommeded. You can sign up via this link.
