Incoming exchange

 

One of Europe’s most international and highly-regarded business schools, Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) is a popular choice for exchange students from RSM’ partner schools around the world.

The Exchange Office at RSM facilitates exchange programmes for both bachelor and master students and works closely with its' colleagues responsible for exchanges on MBA level. RSM can only welcome exchange students which are studying at one of RSM's partner schools and who are nominated by their home university. Interested students should therefore always contact their Exchange Office at the home university first.

Bachelor Exchange

Undergraduate students from our partner schools are welcome to join the bachelor exchange programme, affiliated with RSM’s Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration (IBA).

Master Exchange

Graduate students from our partner schools are welcome to join the master exchange programme. RSM offers you a portfolio of courses from our specialised Master programmes. You can either join us for a full term (4 months) or short exchange (7-8 weeks) both in Fall or Spring.

Open to exchange students are the following Master programmes: Accounting & Financial Management, Business Information Management, Finance & Investments, Global Business & Sustainability, Human Resource Management, Management of Innovation, Marketing Management, Strategic Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, Supply Chain Management.

Dual degree programme

General Information

Qualified master students from specific partner universities, who are looking for an even more challenging academic experience and who are interested in gaining two master’s degrees from two top business schools may participate in the Dual Master Degree in Management (DM²). The DM² is a programme of approximately 2 years in duration, depending on the length of the partner school master programme. Students write a combined master thesis; and complete one master programme at the home school and one master programme at RSM, and ultimately earn two separate master degrees.

Master students from the following three DM² partner schools are eligible to apply:

  • ESADE (Barcelona, Spain)
  • University of St. Gallen (Switzerland)
  • Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi (Milan, Italy)

Application & Selection

Every year, approximately 10-12 students from our DM2 partners are selected to participate in this programme. Students are selected based on several criteria, including excellent study results and solid motivation. Please refer to the selection criteria at the links below for the specific programmes, as well with your home school programme manager. Application for incoming DM2 students is handled entirely through your home school programme management office.

The DM2 programme may be pursued with one of the following RSM master programmes as the second of the dual degrees:

MBA Exchange

MBA students who are studying at one of RSM MSc or MBA partner schools are welcome to participate in the Master exchange programme  in either fall or spring. Students can choose to come for a full term or short exchange (1 block of courses, duration 7-8 weeks). Courses from our 11 specialized master programmes are open and in addition, full term exchange students are welcome to participate in our International Consultancy Project
