If solar and wind energy play a greater role in electricity generation, it may be more financially attractive to keep polluting power stations open. At least, this will be the case if the energy market retains its present form. This paradoxical conclusion has been drawn in a new study conducted by RSM Professor Wolf Ketter and PhD candidate Derck Koolen.
